2018-19 NIAA (boys & girls) Bowling Information

TEAM Finals will be conducted (all 2:30 p.m. @ the Orleans):

Monday, February 4th (3A boys state quarterfinals & 4A boys region quarterfinals),

Tuesday, February 5th (3A girls state quarterfinals & 4A girls region quarterfinals),

Wednesday, February 6th (3A B/G state semifinals & 4A B/G region semifinals),

Thursday, February 7th (3A B/G state championships & 4A B/G region finals),

and Friday, February 8th (4A B/G state championships)

BOYS & GIRLS championship rounds on Friday, February 1st, 2:30 p.m. @ the Orleans

 

Guba, Yeager claim 2019 NIAA state individual boys bowling titles

LAS VEGAS – Andrew Guba of Spring Valley and J Yeager of The Meadows earned gold medals Friday at the Orleans Center in the 2019 Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association’s Class(es) 4A & 3A Nevada State High School Boys Individual Bowling Championships, presented by the Station Casinos. Guba’s second-day series of 654, coupled with Wednesday’s qualifying score of 787, gave him a two-round total of 1,441. Guba claimed the top honor over 11 other state championship finalists in the 4A tournament. Lampkin, McCoy capture 2019 NIAA state individual girls bowling championships

LAS VEGAS – Olivia Lampkin of Basic and Justyce McCoy of Western earned first-place medals Friday at the Orleans Center in the 2019 Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association’s Class(es) 4A & 3A Nevada State High School Individual Girls Bowling Championships, presented by the Station Casinos. Lampkin’s second-day series of 688, coupled with Thursday’s qualifying score of 672, gave her a two-round total of 1,360. Lampkin claimed the top honor over 11 other state championship finalists in the 4A tournament. Individual State Tournament qualification is based upon averages.

  1. Coaches were required to submit individual averages to the Bowling Coordinator. Failure to submit information by the deadline may have resulted in those individuals not being eligible for competition in the Individual Tournament.
  2. In 4A, the top 30 averages for the males and the top 30 averages for the females qualified for the first day of play.
  3. The top 12 males and top 12 females will qualify for the final round. Scores from the first round WILL CARRY OVER.
  4. 1st through 4th place in each gender will be determined by adding the results of day 1 to the results of day 2.
  5. In 3A, the top 20 averages for the males and the top 20 averages for the females qualified for the first day of play.
  6. The top 6 males and top 6 females will qualify for the final round. Scores from the first round WILL CARRY OVER.
  7. 1st through 4th place in each gender will be determined by adding the results of day 1 to the results of day 2.
