The 2009-2010 school year is now "in the books". More than 1500 registered officials took the courts and fields this past year to officiate the thousands of games that are scheduled in each of the sports where officials are required.
For many of these officials, the first goal is to have fun, continue to get better and have a strong regular season. But for many, it is being recognized by your peers and coaches as an official who is deserving of post-season consideration.
An even smaller percentage of this group set their sights on working a championship state final game where everything is on the line for the student-athletes, coaches, involved schools and their fans. Special thanks and congratulations goes out to all the officials around the state who were chosen to work NIAA post-season championship events in 2009-2010.
Below you will find the names of all officials who were selected to work State Championship final games in the sports of Football, Volleyball (G&B), Soccer (G&B), Basketball (G&B), Wrestling, Baseball, Softball, Swimming & Diving, and Track & Field.
